How to Use Praveo

Everything you need to know to create stunning outdoor living proposals in minutes.

Quick Start — 6 Steps to Your First Proposal
1
🏢
Set Up Your Company
Enter your company name, phone, license number, and website. Upload your logo. This appears on every proposal automatically.
2
👤
Add Client Info
Enter the client's first name, last name, and property address. This personalizes the proposal header.
3
📸
Upload Site Photos
Take or upload up to 6 photos of the backyard. For large yards, use panorama mode or switch to Aerial view and enter the address.
4
Select Features
Toggle on the features the client wants — patio, fire pit, pool, pergola, outdoor kitchen, and more.
5
💰
Enter Your Pricing
Choose your pricing method — markup %, labor rate, or per-feature prices. Save once and it loads automatically on every job.
6
Generate & Share
Hit Generate. Your branded proposal appears instantly. Save as PDF or copy a share link to send the client on the spot.
🏢 Company Setup
How do I add my company logo?
In the Your Company section at the top of the left panel, tap the logo upload area. You can upload any image file — JPG, PNG, or SVG. Your logo will appear in the top left corner of every proposal you generate. For best results, use a logo with a transparent or white background.
Do I have to re-enter my company info every time?
Your company name, phone, license number, and contact info stay filled in as long as you're on the same device and haven't cleared your browser. Your pricing settings are saved permanently once you hit "Save My Pricing" — they'll reload automatically every time you open Praveo.
What goes in the License # field?
Enter your contractor license number as it appears on your state license. This displays on the proposal and adds credibility with homeowners. If you don't have a license number or prefer not to show it, simply leave the field blank — it won't appear on the proposal.
📸 Site Photos
How many photos can I upload?
You can upload up to 6 photos per proposal. Each photo is automatically labeled by angle — Front View, Left Side, Right Side, Back Fence, Detail View, and Overview. The more angles you provide, the more context the AI has to work with. The first photo you upload appears as the "Before" image in the proposal.
💡 You can select multiple photos at once from your camera roll rather than uploading one at a time.
What if the yard is too large to capture in one photo?
You have two options for large yards:
  • Panorama mode — use your phone's built-in panorama feature to capture the full width of the yard in a single wide shot, then upload it.
  • Aerial view — tap the "🛰️ Aerial" tab in the Site Photo section, enter the property address (or tap "Use Client Address" to auto-fill), then tap Load. This pulls a satellite view of the full property.
💡 Aerial view is especially useful for large properties where multiple zones need to be planned — pools, patios, and entertainment areas each in different areas of the yard.
How do I use the Aerial view?
Tap the 🛰️ Aerial tab in the Site Photo section. You'll see a "📋 Use Client Address" button — tap that to automatically fill in the address from the Client Info section above. Then tap Load to pull the satellite view. The aerial map will load inline so you can confirm it's showing the right property before generating.
Can I remove a photo after uploading it?
Yes. Each uploaded photo has a small ✕ button in the top right corner of its thumbnail. Tap it to remove that photo. You can also tap Clear all below the photo grid to remove all photos at once and start fresh.
✅ Features & Design Style
How do I select the patio type?
Toggle on the Patio feature and a sub-menu will appear directly below it with four options: Pavers, Stamped Concrete, Concrete, and Flagstone. Selecting Pavers reveals a Pattern and Color Palette selector. Selecting Stamped Concrete reveals pattern styles including Flagstone Look, Wood Board Look, Tiled Stone Look, Cobblestone Look, and Herringbone Brick. Tap your selection — it will highlight in green. The selected patio type flows into both the proposal description and the pricing calculation.
What does the Yard Size selector do?
The Yard Size selector (Small, Medium, Large, XL) tells the AI the approximate scale of the space. This affects two things:
  • Proposal content — the AI scales feature suggestions realistically. A small yard won't get a full-size pool and putting green recommended side by side.
  • Pricing estimates — for square-footage and linear-footage features like patios and fences, yard size provides a fallback estimate if you haven't entered exact measurements.
Can I select multiple design styles?
Only one design style can be active at a time — Modern, Rustic, Tropical, Mediterranean, Zen, Farmhouse, Traditional, or Coastal. The selected style shapes the tone of the entire proposal description, material recommendations, and overall aesthetic direction. If a client has a mixed taste, pick the dominant style and add notes in the Site Notes field.
📐 Site Measurements
Why does the Site Measurements section only appear sometimes?
The Site Measurements section only appears when you've toggled on features that require dimensions to price accurately — specifically: Patio (sq ft), Putting Green (sq ft), Privacy Screen (linear ft), Retaining Wall (linear ft), Pool (sq ft), and Outdoor Kitchen (counter linear ft). If none of those features are selected, the section stays hidden to keep the interface clean.
What if I don't know the exact measurements on site?
Measurements are optional. If you leave them blank, Praveo falls back to estimated dimensions based on the Yard Size you've selected. For a more accurate pricing total, enter the actual dimensions — even rough estimates like "20 × 16 ft patio" or "120 ft of fence" will significantly improve the live cost calculation.
💡 A laser measuring tool or tape measure takes 60 seconds on site and makes your proposal numbers much more credible to the client.
How do I enter measurements for a patio?
When Patio is toggled on, the measurements section shows a Width × Length input for the patio. Enter the width in the first box and the length in the second — for example, 20 and 16 for a 20×16 ft patio (320 sq ft). The live pricing total updates immediately as you type.
💰 My Pricing
What are the three pricing modes?
Markup % — Enter your material markup, labor markup, and profit margin as percentages. Praveo applies these to industry base costs. Best for contractors who think in percentages.

Labor Rate — Enter your crew's hourly rate, crew size, estimated material cost, and overhead percentage. Best for contractors who price by the hour.

Per Feature — Set your exact price for each individual feature — patio per sq ft, pool flat rate, pergola flat rate, etc. Most accurate and most credible to clients.
How do I save my pricing so I don't re-enter it every time?
After entering your rates, tap the 💾 Save My Pricing button at the bottom of the My Pricing section. A green "✓ Saved" badge will appear in the section header confirming it's stored. Your pricing will automatically load the next time you open Praveo on the same device.
💡 You can still adjust individual rates per proposal without affecting your saved defaults — just change the numbers before generating.
What is the live project total and how does it update?
The Estimated Project Total card at the bottom of the My Pricing section shows a real-time running cost based on your selected features, measurements, yard size, and pricing rates. It updates automatically whenever you:
  • Toggle a feature on or off
  • Change a measurement dimension
  • Switch pricing mode or adjust a rate
  • Change the yard size
This is useful for having a live cost conversation with the client before even generating the formal proposal.
Are the pricing estimates guaranteed to be accurate?
The accuracy depends entirely on what you enter. When you use Per Feature pricing with your own rates and enter exact measurements, the totals reflect your real pricing. When using Markup % or Labor Rate modes without measurements, estimates are based on industry averages and yard size assumptions.
💡 Every proposal includes the disclaimer "Estimate valid for 30 days · Prices may vary based on site conditions" to protect you legally.
📄 Generating & Sharing Proposals
What does the Generate button actually create?
Hitting ✦ Generate Client Proposal sends all your inputs to the Praveo AI, which produces a complete branded proposal including:
  • A compelling design title specific to the project
  • A vivid 3–4 sentence design overview
  • Material and layout recommendations
  • An itemized cost breakdown per feature
  • 3 expert tips for the specific design
  • Next steps for the client to move forward
The proposal appears on the right side of the screen with your company branding, client name, address, and date automatically filled in.
How do I save the proposal as a PDF?
Tap 📄 Save as PDF above the proposal. Your browser's print dialog will open showing only the proposal — the input panel is automatically hidden. Choose "Save as PDF" as the destination. On iPhone, tap the Share icon and select "Print," then pinch outward on the preview to save as PDF.
💡 The PDF includes everything — proposal text, cost breakdown, and your AI photorealistic rendering. This is the best way to send a client the full visual proposal. Use Chrome or Edge for the cleanest output, and enable "Background graphics" in print settings for full color.
How does the share link work?
Tap 🔗 Copy Share Link and a unique URL containing the full proposal is copied to your clipboard. You can paste it into a text message, email, or WhatsApp to send directly to the client. When the client opens the link, they see the complete branded proposal in their browser — no app download required.
💡 Important: The share link includes the proposal text, cost breakdown, and all written content — but does not include photos or AI renderings. Images are stored on your device and cannot be shared via link. To share the full proposal including the photorealistic rendering, use Save as PDF and email the PDF directly to your client.
Can I regenerate the proposal with different options?
Yes. Tap ↺ Regenerate at any time to create a fresh version. You can change features, style, measurements, or notes before regenerating — the proposal updates to reflect the new inputs. This is useful if the client says "what if we skip the pool?" — toggle it off and regenerate in seconds.
Why does it say "AI Design Rendering" in the proposal image area?
Praveo currently uses AI to generate the written proposal and cost breakdown. The photorealistic image rendering feature — which shows an actual visual of the redesigned space — is coming soon. When enabled, it will show a before/after view using your uploaded site photos as the base.
🔧 Troubleshooting
The Generate button isn't working — what do I do?
A few things to check:
  • Internet connection — Praveo requires an active connection to generate proposals. Check your WiFi or data.
  • Try refreshing — reload the page and re-enter your details.
  • Browser compatibility — Praveo works best in Chrome, Safari, or Edge. If you're using an older browser, try switching.
  • Ad blockers — some ad blockers can interfere with API calls. Try disabling temporarily.
My saved pricing disappeared — how do I get it back?
Pricing is saved in your browser's local storage. It can be cleared if you clear your browser history, use a different browser, switch devices, or use private/incognito mode. If your pricing is gone, simply re-enter your rates and tap 💾 Save My Pricing again. We recommend keeping a note of your key rates as a backup.
The proposal description doesn't match the features I selected.
This can occasionally happen if the AI interprets the combination of features and notes in an unexpected way. Try these steps:
  • Tap ↺ Regenerate — each generation is unique and a fresh run usually resolves it.
  • Add specific details in the Site Notes field — e.g. "Client specifically wants a rectangular pool near the back fence."
  • Reduce the number of features if you have many toggled on — too many at once can make the AI spread the description too thin.
Does Praveo work on a phone or tablet?
Yes — Praveo is designed to work on mobile browsers so you can use it on a job site. On smaller screens, the left panel (your inputs) stacks above the proposal output. For the best experience generating and reviewing proposals, a tablet or laptop screen is recommended. The photo upload and camera features work natively on all modern iOS and Android devices.
